Custom Programming
If you need a custom database, we can create a professional, easy-to-use application that will fit your business needs perfectly.
Custom software usually costs more than off-the-shelf software, but it’s not a given. Because you control the features you want, you control the cost. With commercial software you pay for the set of features you get, and you get those features whether you need them or not.
Consider your overall budget for this software. In thinking about it, estimate how much time and/or money it is costing to re-enter information, lose information and search for information.
If you are a new business it would be wise to evaluate your need for custom software right from the start and include the expense in your business plan. The right custom program will surely improve your bottom line.
Quickbooks - Access Data Sharing
If your company is using Quickbooks and would like to extend its reporting capabilities, moving the data into Access will allow you to create virtually any kind of report you can imagine.
Data can also be sent from Access into Quickbooks. This makes it possible for users to enter financial data into simple Access screens, then send that data into Quickbooks with the push of a button. Users and accountants all appreciate this feature.
If you are already using an Access database, incorporating these features can be done without altering that database. (This avoids any possible conflicts or unwanted changes to a working database.)

Send Batch eMails From Inside Access
Send your company newsletter or announcements to a select group
of clients/customers using whatever criteria you choose, whenever you want, without having to cut and paste email addresses or bother with your email software.
On-Site Training
The software and the work are right there on the desk, so why send people to training centers? Teaching Access on-site, while working with their own projects, is the most effective way to get users up to speed. The hourly rate (instead of a per person rate) allows you the flexbility to include whoever you want whenever you want. Staff can sit in when their schedules allow, or their interest is piqued.
Professional Database Evaluation
Did you “inherit” an Access database? Do you know:
(1) If it is actually storing your data properly.
(2) If you should be using it at all.
(3) If it is worthwhile to expand its capabilities or buy new software.
(4) Where the weak areas are.
(5) If the reports are accurate.
(6) If it is the best software for your needs
It’s very common that databases do not work properly “under the hood.” If this is the case, you could be working with bad information that is not easily detectible.
A professional evaluation of your database will ease your mind and position you to make an informed decision regarding its further use.
Needs Assessment / Software Search & Evaluation / Job Scoping
If you aren't sure whether you need a custom database or not, and you don't have the time to do the research, we can locate and evaluate products for you. Because we have no stake in any product we recommend, our clients' needs are the only criteria for our decisions. Often it turns out that software exists that will suit your needs. If so, it is significantly less expensive to spend the time finding that software than paying for custom software.
If you are considering custom software, we can work with you to develop a detailed, professional specification that can then be used to get bids on the job.
Fees
Clients have a choice of two approaches. The hourly rate is the most common as it affords the luxury of experimentation and rapid changes. A flat fee approach is also possible and is decided on a project by project basis.
